SavageLych is sorta correct here; the technology on the circuit boards does not really "improve." However, as Gamelver (what does that name stand for again???) was implying, the cost of producing the same technology decreases.

I think I'll avoid the DS lite for now. It looks a little cramped and uncomfortable for my hands.
I think Gamelver was perhaps a misspelling of "gamelover". But whatever.
But I only squawk about Nintendo's money because it's true. Nintendo does make lots of money, Sony may be making some, but they just lost that $90,000,000 lawsuit. Microsoft, well, they're just sad.

Wow, this got offtopic! Back ontopic:

I called Target, and they have it too, but like Walmart, they won't sell them untill June 11th.

I HAD A DS LITE IN. MY. HAND. And they wouldn't let me buy it.

You should've thrown the money at them and ran. I can't find any laws that would break.

He gave them the money, so how would it be stealing? lol, they would probably call the security guards on you thouhg.

I saw a commercial for the DS lite for the first time, my jaw dropped. It looks awesome, and a lot smaller. But I just got me a normal DS from Chronofan, so it'll be awhile, if ever, before I get a lite.

well, yes, I admit this WAS a bit quick....but they did add a considerable amount of brightness, while still having the great battery life...it is indeed possible they already had the plans to make the lite at the time of the original DS, but really we can't know.

If you want one, and don't have an old DS, get the new one. If you have an old one and money, get the new one. If you have the old one and don't have the money for it...then forget it, the original DS is fine, if a slight bit worse..

I can't believe they'd release it early....what if that happened for Halo 2?!? Anyway, nothing's really changed, except people's hopes are up for them now :P.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I'm wondering how much Gamestop would give me for a DS hevvy and Mario 64 DS. If they'll give me say $100 for both (which I doubt), I'll do that then get a lite at Target or somewhere.

I still think it's weird how those stores are releasing it early. I remember that happening with Pokemon gold and silver too, also at target. :P

Funny how it happens so often with highly anticipated stuff.

Still. A non-released item is worth an infinite amount of money, as for it does not exist. $130 < infinite.

Yeah, you wouldn't be completing a transaction, because it would not be with the consent of both parties.

Did you guys say they dumped the GBA cart slot for the DS Lite? In that case I think I'll never get one. I'm looking forward to all them Final Fantasy ports for the GBA just as much if not more than the DS remake of FFIII.

(hugs blue DS)

LOL. Well, more like wait to see what you guys say about how it feels and how comfortable it is to use

I think I'll just wait for the PSPSPLiteDSNano-Mk:17

it has the GBA slot, but the cart. sticks out a bit. They provide a nice little "filler" cartridge thing, though :).
