You could use a camcorder battery, but you have to make sure its output is 9V. Anything less than that could cause distortions. If you stated what kind of screen it is your using, I could make more specific reccomendations; however, your portable will be large with a 7" screen simply because of its large power requirement and the overall surface area your screen will take up.

I think bigger screens are generally awsome (hell i'd take an NEC if someone threw it at me :P), but in portables they bring about more obsticles than advantages. Why not go with a PSone screen? The resolution is excellent, it's small, and to buy one off of ebay is a steal (~$40).

Anyways, in terms of the battery, it will have to either be a large capacity NiHM or a Lithium Polymer battery (which i'm using, 9600mAH in mine ). However, mine were expensive because they were small at 7.2V; yours will be larger because of the 9V requirement.

I hope that was helpful :?

1) Slap your friend across the face for buying an ipod. They're made to fail after a year or two, regardless of how well you care for them.
2) Slap him again.
3) Go buy him a Creative Zen or something.

THank you very much, the reason im using 7", is cause i bought a portable DVD player, and it came with an extra screen, so i figured...why not.
