And can you believe I don't even own a cart of Super Metroid? I can't find it anywhere. Maybe I'll add that to the list of things I need on my thread. I was a little too young to realize how truly awesome the original Metroid was when I had it, but I got it and dumped it onto my GBAMP. It's pretty freakin' sweet playing my old dumped NES carts on my GBAM. So, back on topic, if you could PM/email me/AIM me an adress I'll get the $$ sent ASAP. My email is underpressure116@yahoo.com and my AIM is just underpressure116. And it's kind of late for this, but these do have cart slots right? I see it in the pic, but i just want to cover every base. Thanks.

oh man.. Super Metroid is the queen mother of all metroid games
yes, the PowerJoy's have a cart slot BUT its famicom 60 pin.. so you either have to:
1) play only imports (fat chance eh?)
2) buy a 60-72pin adaptor (they're about $5-7 bucks) or
3) rewire a 72pin slot by hand like Ben does.
I went with 2 because I'm lazy and I'd probably wire it wrong
I sent you a PM with my addy so you can send an MO.

Off Topic: I can't wait for E3! I'm hoping the Rev secret will be something really cool. I originally speculated a different way of seeing the games, but with those new screenshots I doubt it. I'm thinking now that it may be Rev to DS/DSL connectivity. And Metroid Fusion was pretty freakin' sweet. The 2D games have a VERY different feel than the Primes, but I still can't wait for Prime 3.
On Topic: I plan on buying Family Converter since I really don't have the time or experience to do it by hand. And I can't speak/read japanese so no chance on playing only imports.
And I live in the lower 48 states. Now I can finally get started at least (I still can't get my hands on a cheap screen
) Thank you, very much good sir.

hmm.. yeah I dont know of a good source for cheap screens.. at least the small size.. I think I'm going to do something different. I want to take an old SNES arcade stick that I have and install the PowerJoy inside it. resessed cart slot sort of "toaster style" and maybe attach a PsOne screen. I dunno.. just an idea I'm throwing around in my head...

EDIT* oh and BTW, I think I'll use all 6 buttons... B,A,B+A (for those tricky Double Dragon II knee kicks
) plus those 3 again with rapid fire like so..
B,A,BA <<rapid

I'm hoping scherubino will see my thread and maybe part with one of his screens, but it doesn't seem likely. I keep randomly asking him for stuff in my thread. And now I'm mentioning him now... o well. Hope he likes a little publicity.

The do come with a multigame cart with about 20 or so games. I dont have a list at the moment..(Im at work) but they are all cheesy little games made by PowerJoy.. not any bootlegs of "real" games that I can tell. However, some of them are sort of fun and gameplay wise they are modelled after games you've played before, bomberman, mario, space invaders etc. Honestly, I didn't spend much time playing them before I hacked mine apart

I dont have any converters other than the one I'm keeping for my own project but you can find them on ebay as well as Lik-Sang and a few other places.
http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?catego ... cts_id=171
and just to be clear.. you're talking about a converter to play 72pin NES carts on the Power Joy right? because it wont work the other way around.. for playing imported Famicom games on a NES. of course, they DO make an adaptor for that too

Actually, gannon sells 60 to 72 pin converters on his website! He doesn't update it much, so drop him a PM and he can tell you if he has any in stock. Usually he has some. They go for $4.00. He also sells Super Joy III NOACs for $18, if you're interested. Here's a link: http://gannon.tk/store.php Again, don't rely on the information about stock on this page, because he does everything via PMs and does not update the site much.

here's a seller in the USA that has them http://electricquarter.com/product_info ... f308503367
His shipping isn't that much at all but then again he want $6.99 for the converter compared to $0.99 that Lik-Sang wants.. probably would end up about the same.
