@Gamefreak271: Did you use a 100uF cap? And how much are you putting in the PT78HT233H?

ok well if it followed the diagram (and you double checked!) then it should be fine.

... so once again, what did you do to it right before the problem started happening?

are you running the system AND the screen off the same power supply? (sorry you already answered that)

if you just plug in the original power brick, does it work properly?

Well the inductor and diode are for smoothing out irregularities in the 3.3V line caused by the on/off nature of the DCDC. So without them, the 3.3V is jumpy, and so is your video. But if you have no video to start with, then what the hell does it matter?

I think it is 7.5V because that's how much the psone wall adapter outputs

Try a 9v wall wart or higher, it may be that...

It could also be faulty cartridge slot wiring. If two wires were barely shorted or something, it could mess up the signals. Triple check all of that on the top and bottom of slot and slot socket.

Try it with 8V or higher, that should help.

EDIT: Yeah, what Skyone said.

Well I redid the whole thing today to see if that was the problem..turned out it wasn't. I think my connections are good but I will double check them.

Did anyone think that if it outputs no video that the N64 could be fried? :P

Actually that reminds me, I had an N64 that powered up (light came on) but it would output absolutely no video (and Im pretty sure no sound either but I dont remember for sure if I even had the sound hooked up) but no matter what I did, i couldnt figure out what was wrong with it and couldnt fix it so I just figured it was *&$^@#ed so I scrapped it for parts and got another one. I guess it could be just broken. Or maybe its an easy fix that is being overlooked.
