SNES motherboard help!

Post by nes_newbie »

Hello everyone , this is my first post and my name is Tim - you guys on here are freaking amazing. All the stuff i read on here about the portables everyone of you have made just blows my mind. I intend to start a SNESportable project of my own , but i could really use any help i can get on some matters. The specs i have are on the older version of the SNES,in fact the case i am using is the SNES with a 3 inch monitor in the back of it along with the controller on the back of it. All of it will fit after i gut it out and use a little Dremel magic  I also have the battery i intend on using - it will be a Radio Shack R/C Battery 7.2V 3000MA NIMH.If i need a different one please let me know.

My First Question is : What kind of Battery holder do i need to solder to the snes board in order for it to work?

Second Question is: I am good at soldering things but since i have never messed with the insides of the SNES and i will buy Ben's Book when it's released for the diagrams, but if there is anyway possible that any of you have any Diagrams on where to solder the Tv Monitor,Batterypack, and 1 snes controller to the Board of the SNES that would be very helpful for me,because as i said i have just started this project and have everything i need except the knowledge of where to solder each piece to the points of the snes motherboard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank You

Hope your portable turns out good.
The first link is a website with tons of useful info and its run by gannon and spongebuell. It as also owned by Allibi. The second link is to a part that alows you to attach 7.2v rc car batteries to your portable. These are pretty much the battery of choice for us portable makers. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Also registering would help gain the trust of many members on the boards.
