NES Questions
Hello everybody! I finally got a NES (hooray!) and I have a couple of questions.
<a href="http://img521.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 2778hx.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/6967 ... 8hx.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a> Is there any way to make that yellowish kind of thing get off of it? Is it just dirty? Or is it so old its like mold?
And
<a href="http://img521.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 2780et.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/507/ ... 0et.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a> Does this cartrige look small to anyone or am I just crazy?

The NES usually doesn't overheat, even if you overclock it.
Blinking is a common problem for the NES. The 72 pin connecter was poorly designed and doesn't make good contact with the games. To fix it, you can either buy a new 72 pin connecter, or get a Game Genie (Game Genies have thicker PCB boards and make better contact with the pins).

Fry it first, ask questions later.(what usually happens to me)

actually i fixed it. the only reason why it was doing it was because apearently people from 1985 didnt like to play a game twice. It worked after I left it alone for a few minutes. before i turned it off and tried to play it again. RIGHT after i had just played it. It might be because theres not enough memory to process the same game twice in like 3 seconds. mabye nintendo didnt care about memory too much.

1. The yellowing is caused by the plastic reacting to sunlight or other UV rays (IIRC), much in the same way as paint and plastic siding fade. It's there for good, but you could always spray paint the case grey. (I haven't seen this much on NES consoles, mostly the original SNES. Maybe yours is newer than mine, which is still battleship grey)
2. Crazy.
