SCREEN QUESTION

I bought a 30 games in one unit from Walmart
It is called a 30 games vg pocket
it has a 1.5 tft lcd screen
could you use this screen for a portable

I believe I can shed some light on this product. It is made by Pelican Accessories, and unfortunately it seems that very little data is available on it. It is nowhere to be found at the referenced website (although it is registered in their name) or on Pelican's main site. I have concluded that there are three models:

VG Pocket (Lite?)
1.5 inch screen
30 games
$20

VG Pocket
2.0 inch screen
50 games
$30

VG Pocket Max
2.5 inch screen
75 games
$40

Prior to reading this thread I was only aware of the last two. I posted in your other thread without realizing it was the same product line. Can you please post photos or a review of the product? I'm going to head up to Walmart / Gamestop and grab one of each product sometime soon.

As for the post----I didnt see my other post and I only asked the question one time before and there seemed to be some interest in this screen or i wouldnt of posted again.............So if people are getting mad-----they should put down their portable projects and get laid to relieve some stress

ok----this isnt the vg pocket that I bought but its almost the same
I have the 30 games 1.5 inch screen

This has 50 games and a 2" lcd screen
Im not sure if its the same type of screen

I would tend to think if it has composite out built in that the screen would probably run from a similar line instead of a digital one. So it might be possible to use one but, someone would need to open it up to know for sure. Be aware this is probably wishful thinking.

Not sure why you would spend 30 dollars on a 1.5" screen. Sorry to be pessimistic, but the games probably suck, and look crappy on such a screen.

If you had looked a quarter of the way down the page, you would've seen your other thread. If you still couldn't find it, you could've searched for all your posts, since you only had a couple prior to this. I never said that you asked the question before, I said that it has been asked before. If you had used the forum search, you would've seen about a hundred other threads with the question "can I use the screen from the X-in-1 game systems?", so we really don't need another.

BTW, even if you can use the screen, which I highly doubt, it would be too expensive for such a small screen.

I agree that $30 is expensive for a screen----------I thought that the games would suck also but some are addictive-----they even have a pooyan clone and this is one of my favorite games-----I paid $20 for the 30 games in one----I also bought a casio portable tv but if you break the casio you would be pissed because its close to $100---I thought if i break the $20 screen you wouldnt be mad----Also I have a playstation one screen ---even though its cheap----I feel that breaking that screen is a crime ----I dont know about how you guys feel about this-----

If its broken in the line of duty (being modded) there is nothing wrong and no one would be mad. But, if you carefully follow the instructions on this site and ben's book there shouldnt be any problems.
