Oh yea sorry. I was thinking mega was 100 for some reason. Is there such a thing as a Hecta-ohm pot?

You mean a ×100Ω pot?

Yes, though generally engineering notation instead of scientific notaion is used.
That confused me for a mintue since generally fractional powers of three aren't used in engineering notation.
    {10⁻¹², 10⁻⁹, 10⁻⁶, 10⁻³, 10⁰, 10³, 10⁶, 10⁹, 10¹², 10¹⁵, 10¹⁸},
    {femto,pico,nano,micro,milli,—,kilo,mega,peta,exa},
    {f,p,n,µ,m,—,k,M,P,E}

Update:

it's been a little while since i posted here so i thought now would be a good time.
Recently i haven't had much time between school, work and other obligations but i have made some progress.

1) I connected all necessary wires between the controller and the mobo, as well as the Player1&2 ports

2) There will be an AVout port on the front, using standard composite cables. I broke my nintendo jack so the GC will just have the red, white and yellow too.

3) I mounted the disc drive into the case.

Next I will be:
1) buying new heatsinks and relocating the DD mobo to make more room.
-Right now the case has been extended by 1.5cm, which allows for the analogue stick to fit in and it also feels much more comfortable.

2) Installing the PS One LCD screen into the case once it arrives.
-No, I haven't gotten one yet. the person i was going to buy from said he shipped but I waited for over 6weeks and it never came. So I bought another.

3) BONDO :D :D

One question,
for relocating the DD mobo, do I need to re-wire all pins or can I do just a few, as you do with the regulator board?

That second link is very helpful..... just not for my immediate problem.

I should have been more specific

I want to keep the DD board in the same spot, just lower it so that it's closer to the mobo. I was wondering if there were any shortcuts or if I should just go ahead and wire each individual pin.

Ohh You Mean You want to remove the connector to save space.

I Dont Know, Maybe Ribbon.

EDIT: With Out The Port On Top. The Ribbon Would Fold Over But You Could Just Put Some Liquid insulation Over It. Presto.

It's been a while since I posted now. I've been crazy busy with school and work.

Anyway, today I had the opportunity to continue my work on my Gamecube Advance SP again so I have an update :D
So today I did two things; I installed the cooling fan, and relocated the potentiometers for the R/L Buttons

Also since my last update I installed the Disc Drive :D YAY!!

And everything pictured here(with the exception of the buttons which can be screwed into place on the upper half of the case) is screwed in place for easy access.

Since you are buying a charger and PCB from batteryspace, why don't you just buy these?

Update! That's right this thing is still kickin' :D

I've been working on this on and off for a while and will be looking to sell it in the near future so I want to try to finish it up by the end of October or early November.

The motherboard I was using was fried so I bought another and replaced it. This one is a rev C board so its better :) I kept the metal heat-shielding and trimmed it down to fit inside. This will create a more direct airflow once I put in the secondary fan at the end of the heat sink, as it will keep the air from going out of the top of the heatsink and just out the end and directly out of the system. I also replaced the player 1 & 2 controller ports so that it was much cleaner and nicer looking. As you can see from the pictures below, I have hooked up the A/V cables and extended the original lid switch. I will be using the lid switch as it was designed so that when the disc drive opens, it'll be the same as a standard Gamecube.

Also, does anyone know what I will have to relocate to be able to cut here? This is a rev C board and I need this space for the disc drive laser to fully extend.

to start off with:
Damn you have f'ing great cutting skills...
Also, damn you for having similar ideas to mines xD I had tought my GCp with the round logo jewel on top and SP styled, when my mod starts to get some picutres plz don't think I copied you, but sry anyway =)

at the Potentiometer question I think you need a 1k one if I'm not wrong. If I am PLEASE someone else correct me.

about the "triangular" cut you wanted to do: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=42403&hilit=gamecube+memory+card+wire
Acording to what I understand from there, looks like there's no wiring needed, if there's any I'd say it's that "thick" line youre be cutting trough on side A as there's absolutly nothing on side B.

Wish you luck with that, youre's is actually one of the most interesting GCp projects arround. congrats
