Cool. The case looks nice. How did you cut out the controls. I tried to that that and I just messed it up. :cry:

First I made a scan of the controller board, then used the image in TurboCad to make a cutting template for the case. From there I just drilled and cut within the lines.

Oh, yeah that makes sense. Unfortunately my scanner is broken

so I can't do anything with it right now until I attempt to fix it or find another one.

How did you power the 64?

hmm... well I guess since the 12V line on the n64 actually only requires around 9.7V, I'd use 8 rechargable AA batteries. Although if you didn't mind spending more money I'd go with different batteries.
Also, you can use a voltage regulator to knock the 12V down to 3V, although that isn't very conservative.

I haven't quite gotten to that part yet... still waiting on a new tip and valve to fix my soldering station.

I've uploaded my latest progress since a month ago along with some pictures. I only wish I had more to show for my time and money. Especially money.

Oh, and BTW, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get hyperlinks to work in my signature. I've tried HTML, BBcode, you name it. Could someone give me a pointer on this?

At a local surplus electronics supply store, Skycraft. Unfortunately, you pretty much have to live in Orlando for them to be of any use, since you can't order but a few things off their website.

No, actually. You see, Skycraft is a very peculiar store in this regard. They have thousands of nifty little parts all over the store, but becuase it's all surplus stuff they buy at dirt-cheap prices, few have labels or come in conventional packaging. For example, the couplers I bought were all piled in a glass jar labeled "xx-pin connectors" where xx is the a number that I've since forgotten. And it's not actually a SCSI connector. Since they didn't have 50-pin ones like I needed, I just bought some slightly smaller ones and cut them size for the left and right sections of the port (26 and 22 pins, respectively).
