I've had a thought of doing this for a while. I want to move the dpad counterclockwise so up is where left is and so on. When I first thought of this, I didn't know how the controller board was. I just thought turning it would work. So I opened it up and that would never work. So what would I have to do to this? If anyone can show or help me, that'd be great. I have a picture of the board if it helps.

I forgot to mention to make it like a Wii controller. I just like the feel of playing Zelda II with it like that.

You could always wire a custom board using only the central chip a few resistors and some tact switches...it should be pretty easy to fit that into the original controller.

I don't have a NES controller to compare it to, but I've drawn it as best I can from images on the internet. I'm certain that someone here can print off the PDF and tell me if there's any error.

Use the original 4021 for the IC and a graphite pencil to colour in the resistors (a marker or wax crayon will not work).
You may either use the original membrane or new tact switches.

This PDF will print to the actual size if you set page scaling to none.

Edit: image moved to external host
Edit: attachment removed, PM if you want the actual boardart.
