Mounted the 2 Momentary Switches, i couldnt spend the $40+ on Black Vandal switches.

Filled the original holes to fit the 19mm Switches

5 Weeks till i become a father, so i need to start putting in the time to finish this build.

I/O Plate

Starting work on the rear of the case. I would prefer some thinner aluminium but its what i could get for free at work. I was going to use 2 pieces and place them between the original rear part of the case. Still not 100% sure what i will be doing. Will be painted black when finished.

Just fits, i managed to squeeze the aluminium behind the case and the motherboard for a nice and clean finish, looks better then having it on the outside of the case, i will try and get some thinner aluminium and re cut to fit better.

Very nice X-Box box mod. :)

Should flip that radiator fan over so it pulls the warmed air out instead of pushing it down into the case like the original ATX power supply fans did.

Whenever I'd get one of those early ATX PCs in my shop, the first thing I'd do after evicting the dust bunnies was flip the fan and seal the internal openings on the power supply with aluminum tape so air would be blown up through the power supply and out the back instead of drawing cool outside air through the supply then trying to "cool" a hot CPU by blowing warm air in its general direction. Making the air go the right direction would cut the internal temp at least 10 degrees F and the CPU would run cooler.

Blowing warm air down into a case is also fighting natural convection. It's more efficient to assist the warm air to move up. You also never want more fan blowing into a case than drawing out. Either have the same flow or slightly more out than in.

Side Window

Wasnt sure if i was going to go with a window but i went with something small and not over the top. Might in the future make a complete perspex side panel as a spare.

Bought myself a Dremel 300, definatly worth spending the money

Cut smaller then your marks and spend the time filing. Makes all the diference in having a nicer window / finish.

Etch Primed the edges and then will finish with a coat of matte black around the edges.
