Hi,

I'm thinking it would be really nice if I could switch over of one my d-pads over to a joystick. My d-pad, currently sits on top of some tact switches to work. Is it even possible to replace the d-pad with somthing similar to the below ?

You could try just putting a joystick over the tact switches.

Yeah, I've tried that in the past, but It just doesnt feel really good for game play. I"m wondering if I can use something like the below...

I'm pretty sure somewhere around here there is a diagram that shows how to wire a analog stick so it registers as button presses. Maybe Sifuf's sixtyfree worklog.
