how to make a hinge?

as stated in a thread in the screen-hacking forum, i want to make a laptop out of an old gameboy, but i dont know how to make the hinges to open the top(fixing them will be the next part

)
do you know how to? or is it already mentioned in a thread out here?

im guessing your after some mini friction hinges (hinges that stay where you put em ! Id get some small cabinet hinges, take out the rod in the middle an replace it with threaded rod, tighten nuts onto the end until it is a suitable stiffness and then seal the nuts with thread locker on one end and with double nuts on the other end ( so you can tighten it up as it loosens over time.
