Are you using the RGB video outputs or the composite video output? If you are using RGB you can't because the SNES can't output it.

Ah ok. I thought it would be possible because I read somewhere that you could cut the a regular SNES motherboard to the size of a mini SNES board.

EDIT: Also, what are the dimensions of the smaller original SNES mother board?
