Re: Problem With Almost Finished PS2 Portable

Really?
I need a new regulator? :|
This is the 3rd regulator I have gotten (the first 2 didn't step-up the voltage), and would like to not have to buy another one, but I guess if I have to I will.
Where is the link to that specific regulator?

Anyway thanks for the advice.

Problem With Almost Finished PS2 Portable

I have the PS2 set up exactly as described in the wiring diagram.
Running from the battery, the screen turns on, and the PS2 shows a red light (off but plugged in).
When I turn the PS2 on, the light turns green for about a second, then it shuts off, then it goes back to red.

Why does this happen?
I ...

Re: Noob question - powering PSone screen

kbar accidentally hooked up our screen with reversed polarity.
So now it will not turn on.

I'm hoping bridging the fuses will fix the screen.

On this pictured which are the fuses?

Just the ones with the 'N's on ...

Re: Battery for PS2 Portable + other help

We got the step-up converter that Hailrazer recommended, but all it does is step down the voltage. When we plug in a PSU set to output 7.5V, the reading from the voltmeter on the output of the converter only reads as a constant voltage when below 7.5V. Is there another solution to the voltage ...

Re: Battery for PS2 Portable + other help

Thanks a lot.
Also, I have one more question. Can I hook up all the grounds to the same piece of metal (like video ground/ground)? And can I use the heat sink in the PS2 as my ground (the piece of metal that covers most of the motherboard which I'm assuming is a heatsink)?

Is there any voltage that could be too high?
Why are 16V ones priced the same as 50V ones?

What voltage do we need for the 100uf capacitor?
I'm guessing 16, 25, or 50 from my eBay examination. Correct me if I'm wrong..

Why is there more than one ground on Pin-outs?

Why is there more than one ground on Pin-outs?
And more importantly does a specific ground associate with certain other pins?
And if that doesn't make sense, which it probably won't, I made a picture.
