This seems to be a common problem with the ds. When my L trigger died, I took my ds apart and tested it with a multimeter. Once verifying that it was truly dead, I finally broke down and spent 12 bucks for a new tact switch(expensive, yes, but I couldn't find any other replacement that was small ...

Pretty much all I want is for the computer to be the controller as you say, I'm just asking if that is possible or done.

Well the computer does "control" the motor, but it has to do so through a motor driver. A computer does not have the hardware built-in that is necessary to control speed and ...

Finding a usb motor would be rare and not very useful. A motor by itself does not allow you to control speed. The Usb is generally used for the motor controller which is then used to power the motor and control the speed through PMW (pulse width modulation; unless you're running stepper motors ...

Wasn't it charity auctioned off?

If so the price isn't really applicable. Charity auctions usually sell for a lot more.
I believe it sold for around $9,000.

That one should work. I used that to put 3.71 cfw on my slim. The only thing is when you put the magic memory stick in, the screen is blank. If that happens push [x] and watch if the memory stick led is blinking. If it is, then just leave it and wait.
