Re: PS3 Power Supply Problem
So I can grab a power supply from any model of PS3, from any region, and it'll still work? Obviously I'll avoid the "ZSSR5391A" though.

PS3 Power Supply Problem
I have a Japanese PlayStation 3 that just won't turn on at all - none of the LEDs will even blink when I try to turn the system on. So I'm assuming this is caused by the power supply, meaning that's there's no real "fix" for it. I'll just have to get a new power supply.

Re: Charging a PS3/360 Controller From Mains
If I were to run a USB cable to the controllers I'd probably need a 15-20 metre cable to reach, and I hear that the cable might not be able to supply enough power at a length like that. There's a mains socket near where the controllers are placed, which is why I'm looking at charging it via mains ...

Charging a PS3/360 Controller From Mains
Hey all. I work in a video game store, where we have several consoles available for people to try out in-store. The current set up involves the consoles being out back, in the office, with the video output being fed to the TVs in the front of the store. The controllers are wireless, and chained down ...

Re: ps360 controller help
Okay, I got the left stick off finally! I upgraded my soldering iron to a 60W. Then dumped new solder onto the pins and used a solder sucker to remove it - I did that several times over. Any stubborn solder I used solder wick for.

Re: ps360 controller help
It works to an extent, but never gets rid of all of it. I've been trying to cut away the remainder with a knife, and it's working very very slowly.asdfjkl; wrote:have you mixed new solder with the old solder? I guess thats what works with this new rhos compliant solder.

Re: ps360 controller help
I'd love some help with this too. Buying a desoldering iron isn't really an option, because barely anyone sells them way out here in New Zealand. And the cost of one would probably cost more than getting Ben/RDC to make a PS360 controller for me. :(

PS360 Controller Help
I'm a bit of a rookie when it comes to electrical work, but I'm attempting a PS360 controller by working my way through Ben's PS360 controller guide.
I've only just started it, and I'm already stuck. I can't, for the life of me, get the larger pins on the analogue sticks desoldered. I'm using a ...
