So 7 in is the longest you tried or the longest you could get to work?

Is there a way I "boost" the signals so I could use a longer cable?

Does any one know what the longest length of cable I could use to extend between the nes board and the cart slot? I would like to extend at least five feet.

NES 72 pin connector

Does anyone know if there is a 72 pin connector that I can buy that is just the connector and is through hole?
I'm looking to build a portable and would like a connector like the top loader that I could just solder on to a board with out modifying an original 72 pin connector.

This has nothing to do with portables, but I'm looking to make wireless controllers for my NES.
I know there are some IR models out there but I was looking for something maybe in a Bluetooth.
I want to beable to hook this into any NES and have it work.
