Got to love those lipstick pickups. I really like the sound of those amps, too. I had a friend who was running a Telecaster with a Fralin pickup on the neck through a Pathfinder 10, which was a really groovy-sounding setup (he likes surf rock, and uses some crazy EH pedal with sliders for reverb; it ...

Wow! I didn't realize this was a new thing.

I just happened to wander over to the Comedy Central site the other day on a whim and discovered all of the South Park episodes available for free with NO commercials. It is pretty awesome.
Indeed. I, too, had wandered over to the site by chance a few ...

Bear Grills is a pussy.

-Has a crew fallow him around
-Is in no real danger, ever.
-I guarantee you he eats plenty of food off camera.

Les is a bad-ass.
-Carry's his 100+ pounds of video equipment and batteries by himself
-Takes no more then a multi tool most of the time
-Catches his own food
-Is ...

Re: A low point in television

A commercial just played over here, advertising a new show called "America's Most Smartest Model". No jokes.

I've found the reason as to why there's barely any good shows on anymore: The people responsible for show making don't have enough intelligence to do anything but ripoffs of already ...

Is it just me, or did that GameHead schmuck who couldn't string a pun together keep calling him "Ben Heckerndorn"? "Hecking"... Terrible. At least he didn't call him "Hackerdorn" or "Hackendorn" or "Hackerndorn".

Based on the sign they showed, isn't Verona's population "roughly" ten thousand? Thank ...

At least it didn't do quite as bad as Peter Weller in the opening scene of that movie.

Speaking of Peter Weller, has anyone every caught him on the History Channel as an expert on the Roman Empire? How random.

Ah, yes, I forgot to mention BioShock . I get framerates comparable to those of CoD4 with all the settings maxed out, provided I turn vertical sync off (vertical sync is usually a real killer on the framerate, but BioShock was by far the most extreme case I've ever seen as far as v-sync killing your ...

I picked up a pair of these in November just in time for Call of Duty 4 , and they flexed their muscles in fine form for the five hours it took me to plow (read: casually saunter) through that game, and like Samus said, they can really take a nice amount of abuse. The ones I've linked you to are ...

More storage is the only argument, and studios putting more effort into features and presentation for HD DVD than they did for Blu-ray (because seriously, HDi doesn't let you do anything on HD that you couldn't do on Blu-ray with BD-J) has nothing to do with the differences between the two formats ...

At the moment, I've got one of these puppies (a 512MB PNY GeForce 8500GT) in my computer alongside a 2.2 GHz Athlon 64 3400+ and two and a half gigs of RAM, and I have to tell you, my little setup here has been really kind to me, albeit sketchy at times (for instance, it'll run Crysis smoothly, but ...

Toshiba to drop support of HD DVD; Blu-ray "wins".

Most would probably say it's been a long time coming , and yesterday, it was confirmed that Toshiba's dropping support of HD DVD. They're now facing hundreds of millions of dollars in losses, and rumours are rampant that the 360 might see some sort of Blu-ray add-on or even a new SKU with Blu-ray ...
