I got this broken 1541 drive and I have wanted to fit a new computer in to some thing so this is what happened.

Wow just saw this today lol so it looks like I better finish my portable. I started it at the beginning of summer so if it doesn't qualify (sorry didn't read all 25 pages) I don't care I will just be happy to finally to finish it.

if the image is good and colored(any color) the system is fine
if you can only get a colored screen no matter what you do that means the connector is dirty.

It was so random I was expecting my SMB movie dvd but it was a deck a cards from live the next day I got a 360 faceplate and of course went out and bought an elite to use the plate and controller.
Now I just need my keyboards, another 360 controller and movie tickets to come.

I have a fully factory optioned Graphite G3 clamshell its the first one w/o fire wire that I need to get rid of.
It has the airport card and holds a good charge. Has OS 9

To bad my 81 Chevette is to small to put a PC in and the shifter already blocks my radio. I guess I will have to wait till I get a hearse and put a mini arcade in the back. Of course a blower on a Caddy 500 block would be in it too.

I've gotten quite a few PCs from school and work for free the only one wotrh mentioning is a P1 setup that had all the teachers SS#s. :D They found out and asked for the it back, they reformatted it and i got it back. But like a good computer geek I backup my files :twisted:

Ok there are 2 boards. The sub board has the power (7805) and rf box so if you av mod the board I am sure you could get rid of it. Its 2 x 3.5in.
Then the main board is 5 x 3.5

So I think the FC is the best way to go for a NES/FC portable.

I would say a FC is the way to go. They are cheaper than a top loader and have a smillar size mobo, I don't know the specifics. The smaller carts would help and the extra sound channels are nice.

I will be getting a FC soon so I can measure the board if you need me to.

No, I would make a carboard sleeve and send it in an envelope for $2.
