Hello all, just wondering if anyone has any experience fixing chips in the outer shell of a gamegear. I bought a couple from ebay and they all seem to have small chips around the dpad...

Just checked trying to short pins on the board to see if it'd work, but no joy. I recon there could be 2 reasons.
