SJIII No longer Available.

The site excapes me, but I've recently ordered a SJIII and got sent the wireless version instead. I've yet to crack it open, but when I finally got an email back, they told me that the 'complimentary' upgrade was to substitute the no longer available wired one. I haven't even taken it out of the box ...

if you can trace it back to a nice clear area (preferably an area where the trace is furthest from other traces) then you can scratch the trace, solder a small wire (magnet wrap wire or whatever) to two 'repair' areas of the leads... I recomend a very small dab of hot glue over each solder to keep ...

the cart slot is covered (it's the same as all the other noac and famicom systems) (well, the famiclones, anyhow)
I need the player two port dissected. I can't figure it out mostly because a) it's new and not documented yet and b) the controllers that come with the SJ3 don't have the proper wire ...

just realized the links... not the pic you posted, the one on the forum link in my original post... another guy was kind enough to post them up. even if somebody has a way to convert the NES game pad to the connector used on the noac, that would be all I need.
sOs!

no such luck, on the older ones it's all in one ribbon connection, on the newer ones it's off to the side (see the above linky for the pics) My camera won't do much better for closeups)

Selling my NESP (Maybe.) Need some advice.

I'm considering selling off my first portable to fund later projects. For those who don't remember, it's the NESPimP.

Well, as far as I could tell, any compatible connector is discontinued. Ben uses some old skool floppy cables, and I'm having good luck with a $5 shipped game genie off ebay. Gyromite carts are an ok source, if you come accross one on the cheap...
best of luck, and let me know if you find anything ...

Anybody figure out the player 2 side? I tried tracing it back to the controllers.. . but the wire colors on the NOAC second player and lightgun don't seem to be right (2 blue wires... different pins).
Appreciate the help!
Cheers

I see this with the slims a lot... is there som e play on the power input on the PSTwo? Often, the little plastic joint the power connects to gets loose from the board and so, doesn't put any power to the console. Check it all with a meter, but it doesn't hurt to see if that thing has a little ...

Flippin sweet. I actually got a small one in about a week ago. I gotta try it out. A similar one I had would only go down to 9v... but I'm hoping to get it low.
Seems like screen pads have burst back up on ebay for cheap money (I just got 2 for 30 shipped)... But, I'm always on the lookout for ...

ack, nevermind. I just got 2 Game Genies off a guy on eBay... he had a cool (buy two get a free game) deal too... So I selected Gyromite off his case (which I thought was a pretty funny surprize!) So, I got cart connectors a plenty!
Cheers!

EZ Controller ports

I've seen a few people post that extension cables are a cheap way to get NES controller connectors. I had an 'ah ha!' moment bouncing around eBay (for those who don't know about eBay, it's where I store all my savings.) Remember the Four Score? No, nobody does. Like, 3 or 4 games supported this ...

my family converter alone disables the roms. in (15, 16?) that connect on the noac side with your conversion is all that's needed to do so with my connecter (the bee one, sorry, kinda tired to think it all out).
cheers'
