So what this would do would to allow the 64 & screen to run off of batteries without needing to hack at anything? If so, I would definitely buy one.

That's really the only thing I need to do before my N64p is done.

A 64 is really easy to open without the special screwdrivers. Just use some pliers to take out every screw you can (there should be only one that you can't). Then with the one screw remaining, pull the case off with some force. It's very easy this way, and you save money too :)

Wasn't the original name for the DS (dual Screens) the Developer's System?
Actually, DS meant and still means Developers System. It's just that fans and critics interpreted it as Dual Screen.

I'm going to get a DS when it comes out. Of course I'd like to know the battery life of each, but chances ...

Well, anybody that will hate someone else over a political view must fairly idiotic, and probably shouldn't be on the Forums anyway. That's not how it's gonna be, though, and it's better to just end it now before everybody hates eachother for no good reason. I see your point now.

I just wish some ...

If you don't want to see the Political Discussion thread...simply don't view it. If your tired of arguing about politics there, you don't have to go. Let the people that want to use it use it, and you can just let them be

I started a site for my project. The url is http://www.geocities.com/rkn64p/
It has images of the 64 open as well as the controller. Nothing special as of yet, since I've pretty much only took apart those two things. I still need to get batteries and an LCD Screen.

The 64 was extremely easy to open ...

GoldenEye's the best FPS on the 64, hands down. I haven't played much of Perfect Dark, though.

Ryan K's N64p Project

Once I get a job, I plan on making a portable Nintendo 64 (as opposed to my old PSp Project). And I guess this is going to be the thread for all of my questions and progress.

Here's the list of stuff I plan on needing, excluding things that I need to assemble it like screwdrivers etc.

Batteries

This is probably a question asked a lot, but what rechargable batteries are best for portablizing the PSOne w/ LCD...price wise and quality wise? Also, where can you get them...places like Radio Shack, or only online? How long will these said batteries last with use of the system and screen together?

Like diggerdanh said, computers are meant to sit on a desk, portables are meant to be where you want them to be. The cardboard would probably wear easily if placed in a book-bag, and get soggy after a long use.

I wouldn't use it personally, but it would be a unique aspect of a portable.

Macaroni and cheese tastes better. Ramen is more versatile though; Soup Style, or pour out the water and add flavoring. Also, there are more flavors, but they usually taste close to the same to me.

N64: Simply having built in 4-player support when I was 12 or so made it better. The graphics were better, and the games were/are better (in my opinion).
