Or just use the proper resistor calculated by this site: http://metku.net/?sect=view&n=1&path=mods/ledcalc/index_eng . That would make more sense.

It's okay if the resistor gets hot, just make sure you have it glued down well so it won't come loose.

I'm afraid I personally can't help you any ...

IIRC, ben suggests a 10 ohm resistor in the book. Get a 22er.
Or just wire two 10ers in series.

CTFan 2 10ers are in series???? :? As long as its ok for them to heat up, then nevermind about the resistors.

Anybody who has done the CNC NES project from the book, please help if possible ...

What are you currently using to power the system? Batteries or power adapter?

To check what voltage is going where, get a multimeter, set the dial to voltage (or however you do it on your particular one - mine's digital so I press a button), and put the red probe to where the power is going into ...

OK guys, sorry for taking so long, been busy. I tried my best to get good close pics. My camera was acting up. They could be better but you should be able to get the point. If there is a specific part you want a pic of, let me know. All links open in a new window.

When you press volume up or down does the icon appear clearly? What icon? Nothing happens when I press volume. When the volume is all the way up, I do hear a hum noise. By the way, I was messing with the ribbon cable and now the screen is black except the LED's??? No lines anymore. LED's are still ...

Re: CNC NES Project Has a grey screen????

Don't give me any stupid-ass comments. I don't have the time.

Define "stupid ass".

Anyway, I don't know specifically what would be wrong, just some troubleshooting stuff. Try checking your grounds, your solder joints to the video leads; perhaps you simply wired wrong. Take some pictures ...

I'm almost done with the CNC NES project from the book. I've connected the cartridge connector to my 2nd motherboard(1st one got fried, OOPS!). All I get is a ...

I'm pretty electronically savvy so I'm not a total noob, but I'm seeing the word "NOAC" everywhere in this forum and have no idea what that is and stands for? Can somebody explain? It's buggin' the hell out of me!!! I've tried to look it up here and even Googled it - with no luck.
