The reset mod is another handy mod to add to these as well. Had a cart that requires reset to be pressed to select 1 of 5 games. A few cheap parts and fairly easy to do.

I specifically asked the seller if it was a red guard branded monitor (they had a red guard box in the back ground...or they could have pinched the pics from elsewhere). The resolution is the same with the GG's with the image only taking up 1/2-3/4 of the screen. The board allows for composite, s-video and RGB, I was happy enough with composite on this one. I have another 2 boards from viletim, but just need to find time to do them lol!

This is my GG I have modded quite some time ago. It uses a viletim video out board, 2 player controller port pinched from a dead MD2 and the cartridge slot has been relocated. Both controller ports work, player one is simply tapped off the GG's contacts and player teo is taken ...

The battery draw now for the Nomad and screen is around 250mA.
With the original screen it was around 360mA.

I am using a infolithium 7.4v 2000mA battery to run it. So I get around 8 hours .

Did the same a while ago and sent a guide to mmmonkey to put on his site. Note the charge voltage anything above 3v wouldn't be the key. With this battery you need to follow the original instructions ie: turn it on every 1.5-2 weeks to keep the charge up.

Update, I used a DSi backlight as it is bigger, so no faint outlines on the outer edge. Requires 15v to work though.

That point is 5vdc.

Yes I have a multi-meter. I have done a quick write up on Sega-16. I just used a DC DC converter to give the backlight it's own power source. Take a pic of the area you want to know about. The model I used was single ASIC.

You need 12v. I have just done this today, works well. Not as bright and the colours aren't as vivid, but ok. I used a LM2577 DC DC step up module to do this.
