if its a 7.4volt battery, its a 2 cell.
the white wire is quite possibly connected to where both cells connect to each other, because the battery is meant to be balance charged to keep the cells at the same voltage.

NTSC VS PAL games, a bit confused?
Recently I purchased a PAL N64 locally (Australia) and started buying some games.
I purchased a game from Japan, which is NTSC, so, I decided to order a N64 from the USA to play NTSC games.
I also bought another NTSC game locally.
anyhoo!
the Japanese NTSC game doesn't fit the NTSC console ...
