Re: N64 Screen Help

Thanks jdmlight and gamax92! Well the reason I said 9.5v is because it says on the side of the screen where the power supply plugs in. You are probably right about the regulator. I will trace and see if it has a regulator. Hopefully it does and I can use lower voltage. Thanks again!

N64 Screen Help

I have an Emerson 7" screen with composite inputs but takes 9.5v to operate. I am not worried about the size of my handheld but wonder if it would be better to use a PS1 screen(or something comparable)? I know most things are just preferences. I planned on using a Polymer Li-Ion Battery: 7.4V 5000 ...

Re: N64 Portable Help

Well if you think that bondo is fine I can use it. I have read that after the acetone in the abs cement dries that it can leave small holes (or pits in the surface). I know my project won't be perfect!lol That is why I am asking people like you cause you have been there and done that. Thanks again ...

N64 Portable Help

I am thinking about using tupperware containers(2L ones). I wanna cut the bottom out and put in a sheet of plexiglass and hot glue it in. I was wondering after that what should I use to fill in the gaps that can be sanded? I don't wanna use bondo cause I know it cracks when stressed. I have heard ...

Re: Nintendo 64 Portable wiring help

Thanks for the info guys! What batteries would you recommend that would last longer? I know that I need 3.3v(and I will use the regulator for this) but is it true that for the 12v side that I can use anywhere from 7v-35v? I won't use anymore than 12v for sure though.ha ha I think the N64 has a power ...

Nintendo 64 Portable wiring help

I need some help with my first N64 portable project. I am planning on using a Durabrand model # DUR-7 portable dvd player battery. It is a Li-ion 7.4 2100mAh rechargeable battery. Can I use this? I have the adapter that goes to the battery as well. I also want to know if I have to use the voltage ...

Re: Hailrazer's 2nd N64 - The Kamikaze64

Wow you do awesome work Hailrazer! I am new to this site but I have to say that it is great! Loads of information! I need to ask a question. How could I use a portable dvd player's screen. There isn't an input on it, so I know I would have to mod it inside somehow. I don't know if this is worth it ...
