Is it possible, that if you really wanted too, you could build a flashcard that plays ROMs, and just put the ROMs on an SD card, rather then having huge game slots?

As long as you don't pry it open, then you're fine! :p.
But not sure if the disk drive is different size from fat PS1, but PSone (slim) is 4 inches wide, 3.5 inches length and a height of 1 inch.

I recently found my "Super Joy 3" and I want to make a new case for it..
It's 6 inches wide, 6 inches length, and 3 inches tall..
