My 360 RROD'd (code 0020 IIRC) and I attempted fixing it myself by replacing the thermal compound, of course I failed, and since then it has been collecting dust on top of my entertainment center. I did purchase a 360 repair kit after I failed the first time and have been meaning to try it again ...
