They're being sold in Australia under the names Portable Boy Advance. Now that is marketing. Pic
Exclusive to KMart, but it's $70, so it's not really worth it.

Does anyone know where I can find a good LCD screen about 3-4 inches in Australia? Cause eBay AU is much smaller than the other ebays, and EBgames doesn't ship to Australia. Thanks.

Pocket Boy Advance? I smell an NOAC... but doesn't that mean that all of this is pointless, as they're already been sold for $69 AU? (hee hee, 69) Anyway, you can't really tell from the ...

Go-Lo (read: generic bargain store). The packaging reads "Mega Gun", but the docket says "Mega Joy", and apart from that, there's no info on the package. Not particularly hard to find by the look of it, just look in all the reject-shop style stores.

BTW, good to see another Australian doing this ...

Oh man, I think I just burst a blood vessel laughing. I love the way it sounds exactly like they've looked in a high school science textbook and take the most complex words they could find and adding "hyper-" to it. Oh, this is great: "This book also shows how to create grid points, which are ...

I fried it.

And bought another one, which doesn't work. Damnantion.

Anyway, what kind of idiot released this thing in Australia? Who on earth would see a bastardized N64 controller and this "Oh, that must be a pirate FamiCon emulator"?

They're all really primitive, and clearly just thrown together in a matter of mintues. Like "Littel Witch", where you're a witch who flies up and down and shoots things, and "UFO race", where you're a UFO that can just go left or right, or "Bicycle race", where you're a bicycle that goes left and ...

SOAC? Or what?

Well! Not entirely off topic, but not on any specific topic, so here it goes:

I believe I have found a SOAC. An FLA I just invented (Something On A Chip), though I hope that can be updated.

Here's the thing right:
*Has 72 games built into it, which I believe is as many as Ben's NOAC has
*Has a ...

Yes, but PAL games are slower! It all comes together...
Anyway, they're rather cheap (I'm looking at one on ebay at about $AU20 with no P/H) so, knowing my n00bishness (I really shouldn't be doing this sort of thing, I failed wood tech last year), it's better to be sage that celery.

Apparently, it's got an antenna jack on all NTSC models as well as "Model B", whatever that is, and all others have Audio/Video Jacks. Which is very fortunate for me, as I live in Australia. Take that, suckas!

THREAD HIJACKING

I'm getting together the parts for the NES project, right, when all of a sudden it occurs to me that I live in Australia, which is quite a revelation, and I realise that there will probably be some differences between the PAL and NTSC NES and PS1 screens. Has anyone else built a ...

So, (as I'm planning to build the NES), what region does the book cover? And , if it's NTSC, which it probably is, how can I figure out the differences for PAL?

Apologies in advance.
