I like that Idea. But the batteries smell like death, so I don't think I am going to use them.

Re: N64 Laptop
Well yes, I would rather not have my portable catch on fire, or be damaged by using these batteries again.

Re: N64 Laptop
Well... My new screen works great and my batteries... Well I hooked them up, everything was going great, and then I accidentally touched the negative and positive together and they burst into flames. Probably going to have to get new batteries now.

New Update!
The day after I posted the reply above, I tore the ribbon cable on my screen, and fried the n64 by putting 9v in the 3v line on accident so... I bought a new screen and N64, and they have both arrived..

Re: N64 Laptop
Yes, but my screen takes a minimum of 12v, so as the battery runs out, the voltage will decrease, and my screen will not have enough power.. Amirite?

Step up regulator?
I will have two 6v batteries totaling to 12v to power my screen (which is 12 to 14.4v)
question about batteries:
Don't I need a step up regulator so that the voltage stays at 12v throughout the whole time the batteries are discharging? If so, could somebody tell me what the name of one is?

Re: Which Antivirus Software do you use ? Why?
I use AVG. Its free, works great and scans daily. It is also unobtrusive, unlike Norton which I found very annoying when I had a trial. I have also had Avast! before, and it works great as well. AVG and Avast! are both great free anti virus software if you are looking for something that is free.
