the nes and genesis's cpu's are not compatible that i'm aware of, making this pretty cool. it seems to me that they have both hardware crammed into one machine. not the first time its been done mind you, but unusual choice.

right. digikey has them, amazon has them, ebay has them. some are as high as 4.5 volt for blue and green output. i have found a rgb led with 4 leads. one common anode and 3 lead for the three colors. i'm certain thats the way to go i just have to figure out how to wire it up so it switches colors ...

I have to side with XVCG on this one. if you look at the thread directly above this one, a forum user made a post about the fcmobile 2 and got jumped for it. Make a post in an old thread and you get jumped for bumping. your in trouble either way. everyone needs to use common sense here before these ...

Well, i'm not smart enough to give you advice on how to make this, but i think your doing a great job. i cant wait to see how it turns out. maybe some putty and some paint afterwords will take care of the hot glue showing through the case. keep plugging away!!

Sounds good! what are you going to use for a case? i had another idea go through my head when you mentioned using a new case. the wii classic controller would look slick. is it possible to adapt the nes d-pad to use the the stick on such a device. I know this seems like a (DUH) kinda question one ...
