Possumus Woman 82% Complete

Surely to be the best fight on a truck in a movie since “Raiders of the Lost Ark”
I’m posting to let the interwebs knows that my indy film “Possumus Woman” (formerly “Possumus Man 2: Possumus Woman”) has reached the 82% completion point. Last Sunday we got the most complex scene out of the way, a fight on the back of a moving truck between myself (as Grady McDunaway) and of course the giant killer possum.
It went pretty well (we brought lots of ice-cold bottled water) and we did everything “for real” - there are no special FX in the entire sequence. In fact the movie probably won’t have more than 25 or so FX shots total, a far cry from my previous films that won’t create the crisis of delaying the project. And this movie has been a lot faster to make - coincidence?

Awesomeness! Can’t wait to see the finished product! Do you have any idea when you’ll be filming that “final scene” were you need all the extras with weaponry?

The “big shootout” scene is Saturday, August 23rd north of Richland Center, WI.
It’s BYOG, but we only want people who are familiar with guns and firearm safety. For obvious reasons.
If people want in, email me.

[…] It’s called Possumus Woman, and he’s almost done with it. I think this picture of Mr. Heckendorn fighting said marsupial in the back of a flatbed (”the most complex scene”) kind of says it all—let us know when there’s an Xbox 360 inside that robo-possum, Ben! [Ben Heck] […]

Nice Ben! I can’t wait to see the movie when it’s finished. For distribution, have you considered blip.tv? You can post stuff in higher definition than youtube and can put overlaid ads on the bottom.
